OntaRate is a referral service that connects Ontario residents with licensed independent insurance agents. We are not an insurance company, broker, or underwriter. We do not provide insurance advice, and any insurance products or quotes are provided solely by the licensed agent we connect you with.
2. Referral Service Only
By submitting a quote request through our website, you acknowledge and agree that:
- OntaRate acts solely as an intermediary referral service
- Any insurance quote, policy, or advice is provided by an independent licensed agent, not by OntaRate
- OntaRate makes no guarantee regarding the competitiveness, accuracy, or availability of any insurance quote
- You are under no obligation to purchase any insurance product as a result of this referral
3. One Agent Policy
OntaRate connects each request with one licensed Ontario insurance agent. By submitting your information, you consent to being contacted by that agent via phone or email for the purpose of providing an insurance quote.
4. No Marketing Communications
OntaRate will not send you marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional communications as a result of submitting a quote request. Your information is used solely to facilitate the agent referral described above.
5. Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when submitting a quote request. OntaRate is not responsible for any outcome resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The OntaRate website and referral service are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular insurance quote will be available to you.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OntaRate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or referral service, including but not limited to any insurance decisions made based on quotes received through our referral.
8. Third Party Agent Disclaimer
The licensed insurance agents we refer you to operate independently. OntaRate does not control, supervise, or guarantee the conduct, advice, or services of any referred agent. Any disputes regarding an insurance quote or policy are solely between you and the agent or insurer.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the OntaRate website, including text, graphics, and branding, is the property of OntaRate and may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
